      Gravure printing ink is composed of solid resin, volatile solvents, pigments, fillers and additives. It does not contain vegetable oil, and most of its drying methods belong to volatile type. Gravure printing ink can be divided into three types: photogravure printing ink; plastic gravure printing ink; alcohol-soluble gravure printing ink. Solvents in ink can dissolve or disperse all solid components in the ink, wet the surface of the printed substrate, adjust the drying speed of the ink, and adjust the consistency of the ink to meet the printing plate's inking requirements.

      Ink Concentration Adjustment Method for Gravure Printing Press The quality standards of ink sold by most manufacturers for accuracy, concentration and fineness have been formulated according to the formula. But in printing, according to different requirements, sometimes it is necessary to adjust the ink concentration appropriately, to reduce the ink concentration and to reduce the ink concentration. There are three kinds:

      1. Use ink to adjust concentration

      Tuning soy sauce (also known as tuning gold oil) is a kind of material composed of various ingredients except pigments in ink, so when tuning soy sauce is used to adjust the concentration, the viscosity will remain unchanged, only the formulation of resin and pigments will change.

      The use of adjustable ink dilution can not only reduce the concentration, but also improve gloss and transparency. However, if a large amount of soy sauce is used in a small amount of ink, it is easy to cause blockage, so attention should be paid to it.

      2. Adjust concentration with diluent

      The diluent (also known as thinner) is a transparent ink made by replacing the pigments in the ink formula with the so-called "physical pigments" - colorless pigments. Therefore, the use of diluents to reduce the concentration of ink viscosity also remains unchanged, the proportion of pigments and resins can generally remain unchanged, and will not cause blockage, but often cause the gloss and transparency of the ink reduced.

      3. Adding Solvent to Reduce Concentration

      This method can maintain a certain proportion of resin and pigments, and the viscosity of ink will also be reduced, but it has a greater impact on the printing effect, and is also limited by the dilution viscosity. Besides for a certain degree of concentration adjustment, it is not an ideal method.
